A 26m cable stayed bridge crossing the River Foss in York and links a new residential development to the city centre. The southern bank was congested with constraints, in particular presence of existing utilities, necessitated minimal intervention on this bank. The structural solution allowed the bridge loads to be transferred to the north bank, with negligible intervention on the south bank, thus relieving this sensitive zone from any bridge loads. Konrad led the architecture and structural engineering design team whilst working at Alan Baxter & Associates.
