Koncept^X are seeking to recruit a motivated Structural Engineer with a sound knowledge of structural engineering principles, to join the Malta office and work on all the phases of the design process on a variety of projects, ranging in both scale and scope.

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone with the following:

• A good masters’ degree in structural engineering
• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in structural engineering consultancy
• Working knowledge of Eurocode suite of standards
• Able to collaborate, with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical skills and experience of a range of architectural and structural engineering software
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to cope with a variety of tasks
• A flexible, positive approach and the ability to work as part of a team

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE

• Develop structural designs on projects at a range of scales in concrete, steel, masonry, timber and other materials
• Carry out projects on all phases of the design process, from concept design stage through to inspection on site
• Coordinate with architect and other engineering consultants as part of the team
• Maintains up to date technical knowledge
• Uses analytical software effectively and interprets the outputs well
• Applies theory to practice and in a logical way
• Highlights potential problems and ensures there is resolution
• Preparation of property condition and valuation reports

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Use of 3D modelling tools
• Working knowledge of relevant design software for structural analysis
• A keen interest in architecture and design
• Someone who enjoys their work and is indisputably passionate about delivering great engineering
• Able to prioritise own workload, meet tight deadlines and work effectively within a team
• Able to build effective working relationships with professionals of all levels and disciplines within the organisation
