Sensitive refurbishment of an existing 1930’s building lying within a conservation area in central Valletta, to serve as a head office. The key design driver was to restore as much as possible the original fabric including furniture, with most of the fabric being successfully restored, repaired or refurbished.

The works included restoring the 4.6m high masonry walls, cleaning the stone slabs that span onto steel beams and form the structural ceiling above, repairing the wooden and glazed doors and windows, repainting the metal framed windows and repairing the original tiles.

Project completed in 2017. Refurbishment costs of €50K.
