Refurbishment of an existing 3 storey house located in an urban conservation area in Waterloo, London.

The project consists of the reconfiguration of the internal layouts at ground floor level including forming rearrangement of the loadbearing walls and strategic strengthening of the existing staircase leading up to first floor to obtain an increase in clear floor height.

The project also includes a complex reconfiguration of the existing structure at roof level via the introduction of cranked steel beams to ameliorate the functional layout at attic level.
