Openable, zoomorphic 50m pedestrian bridge, having a 35m cantilever when open. The bridge is a focus for regeneration, linking the redeveloped east bank with the city centre. It is fully operational during opening allowing people the experience of staying on the bridge whilst rotating. The hub acts as a lettable space, potentially generating income to the asset. Konrad led the structural engineering design team from competition stage up to detailed design stage whilst working at Alan Baxter & Associates.

 

Bridge won numerous awards including 2013 WAN Transport Award.
